FAQ

Ready to ship pieces will be dispatched within 3-5 days.

Please allow 2-3 weeks for a made to order piece.

What is the shipping policy?

All orders are sent by the Royal Mail Tracked service. They will be sent in a ‘large letter’ sized box and will fit through your letterbox.

Customs and import taxes

Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I'm not responsible for delays due to customs.

Are your pieces hallmarked?

A hallmark is a mark on precious metals that verifies the metal's purity and that the item meets legal standards.

In the UK, there are certain weight exemptions. Items below 1.0g of gold, below 7.78g for silver and below 0.5g for platinum are exempt.

Sending pieces to the assay office adds time and incurs a cost, so I, like a lot of jewellers, opt to only hallmark pieces over the weight exemption.

How do I care for my jewellery?

Silver is a metal that oxidizes when exposed to air and humidity. For those who like a bit of chemistry it's a reaction between silver and sulphur to form a silver sulphide layer on the surface of the metal. Sulphur is an element that exists in nature and can be found in soil, plants, foods, and water.

So, if you leave your silver piece hanging on a jewellery holder, or out on your dressing table exposed to the elements of your home, there’s a good chance you’ll have to polish that piece at some point. It’s just nature doing its thing.

To help slow down the tarnishing process, you should store your pieces in a cool, dry place, away from humidity and air exposure. Additionally, avoid storing silver near sources of heat, chemicals, or strong odours, as these can accelerate tarnishing.

Remember to remove your silver jewellery before washing your hands, swimming, or showering, and dry it thoroughly after getting wet.

Wearing you silver jewellery often can prevent tarnish buildup since body oils naturally help protect the surface.

Silver jewellery can easily be reverted back to it’s original glory with a simple polishing cloth. That’s why I include one in every order.
